About

I’m Oliver Frost, a passionate and dedicated game developer with a strong foundation in C++ and C#, and hands-on experience with both Unity and Unreal Engine 5. My journey through a BSc in Computer Games Technology (Upper Second Class, 2025) has been shaped by both academic excellence and a wide range of creative projects, from university coursework to independent game jams.

Over the years, I’ve built games and systems that range from a Tycoon-style group project recognized as a finalist for TIGA Student Game of the Year 2025, to work on LED matrix platformers and boss enemy AI systems. Beyond university, I’ve continued to push my skills through collaborative projects like Soul Catcher and A Noble Escape, both created during game jams, as well as a procedural cave mapping system developed with peers.

I thrive in both solo and team environments, with experience using industry-standard tools such as GitHub, Jira, Confluence, and Lucidchart, alongside generative AI technologies for research and development. My background as a Scout Leader and Quartermaster has strengthened my leadership, organizational, and mentoring abilities, while also instilling a deep respect for teamwork, responsibility, and resilience.

Outside of development, I’m a black belt in Aikido with over 17 years of practice, which has taught me discipline and respect. I enjoy badminton, bouldering, hiking, and camping, often organizing trips with friends. Creativity extends into my personal life too—I’m learning guitar, restoring vintage tools, and collecting vinyl records.

At my core, I’m driven by curiosity, collaboration, and the excitement of building interactive experiences that challenge and inspire.
